Friday October 24, 6-10PM @ Sojourn Midtown
Free and open to the public / All ages
Performances by Brooks Ritter and Chad Lewis (updated: House Ghost performance cancelled)
Films by Community Groups and Visual Art by dozens of Sojourn members and attenders
We want to celebrate the artistic work of Sojourn church members and regular attenders. Come enjoy what your church family has made!
This event will compile a bunch of the artistic talent from across all of Sojourn’s campuses. Visual art will fill the gallery. Entries will be accepted through October 5 - here.
Brooks Ritter and Chad Lewis will rock the cathedral like it’s never been rocked before, and films made by community groups will shine on the big screen in between performances. CG film info can be found here.
Brooks Ritter is a familiar voice at Sojourn Midtown and on Sojourn Music recordings, but he also records and performs his own music under his own name. Come ‘gather round’ as Brooks performs with a band full of Sojourn friends.
Chad Lewis is in the process of releasing his newly recorded project ‘The Mourners.’ It’s a deep album made in response to his brother’s early death. The songs deal with heartache, but cling to hope. You may know Chad from his current role as Sojourn East’s worship pastor, or his previous role as Midtown Campus Pastor. He’ll be bringing along a full band too.
This is all part of Cultivate Beauty. October is Cultivate Beauty month. Sojourn Community Church is inviting people to make space for the good in their lives. In other words, we’re asking people to CULTIVATE BEAUTY. Cultivate Beauty month is a time to do things differently. A time to create – not just consume. Do something you’ve always wanted to do, because Christ has set us free.
