Encaustic Transfer by Tim Robertson

Saturday October 24, 2015  9:00am – 12noon

$20 per participant.  Advance registration required (register below). Limited space available.  Ages 12 and up.

Learn how to use encaustic medium (beeswax and tree resin) to transfer images onto wood.

This will be an informal demonstration where participants can follow along and create their own piece of art. Encaustic is a versatile medium. It can be used for painting, mixed media and sculpture. In this workshop artist Tim Robertson will teach a process by which images (photos, drawings, anything that can be printed with a laser printer) can be transferred onto wood.

All the materials and instruction on the basic process will be provided and participants will create and take home their own artwork.

Bring:

1. $20 cash.

2. Wear clothes that can get messy.

3. (optional) Digital images on a USB drive or 8×10 laser prints.  We’ll also have access to a laser printer.
